Basira is an advanced smart white cane designed as an assistance tool for blind individuals, which helps them move around in a safe manner while having a sense of independence. The smart cane also acts as a personal guide for the blind, assisting them in facing daily life challenges, as well as improving the way they deal with the surroundings, while also achieving independence. There is also an increased demand for innovative assistance technology that improves the life of blind individuals.
The project integrates several modern technologies such as sensors, artificial intelligence, and other AI-based functions, camera capable of recognizing people to support safer navigation and awareness, in addition to a user-centric design approach to provide a practical tool. In addition, it also includes a small speaker for audio alerts as well as a Wi-Fi module to link the cane to a specialized mobile application accessible to family members of the user.
The scope of testing for this project focuses on the core functionalities of the osTicket system that are essential for both users and agents. It includes logging in as an agent and as a user, creating a user account, replying to a ticket while changing its status, and searching for an existing user. The testing also verifies the failure to add a user with existing user data by the agent, changing the priority of a ticket, linking three tickets together, merging tickets, and transferring a ticket. In addition, it involves creating a ticket for an existing user and adding a new organization.
